Osamu Dazai’s teenage graffiti

20 May 2013

My peripatetic neighbor Jen brought a clipping from the Yomiuri Shimbun about a newly disclosed collection of Osamu Dazai’s school-age notebooks and a diary.  It’s a fascinating look into the mind of the young writer, doodles and all.  Thanks, Jen!

The article also brought to my attention the Museum of Modern Japanese Literature, in Meguro, Tokyo, not too far from my favorite place to stay, the hotel Claska.
